No surprises that for their challenge for LOVEFEST 2014 Scor-Pal are asking us to score. I did make a tea-bag holder yesterday , but since scoring is only part of the construction and not visible on the finished card, I also made this and combined it with the F4A challenge to use hexagons.
I remembered a TLC when Joan asked us to make our own stripes, (TLC363) and suggested scoring to give guidelines to lay the stripes together evenly. I kept the score lines as a feature on this .
It was always possible to score diagonally, but I love how much easier it is with the envelope insert! I misted my card with spray to take the stark whiteness off, and then scored every half inch. My strips of scraps are 3/8" wide.
Bird image stamped on watercolour paper, coloured with pencils and sponged. I embossed the two smaller hexagons and sponged them in toning colours. Large hexagon popped up on foam dots. I added some Liquid Pearls along the plain stripes, layered this on pink Bazzill and then on a cream base.
