LOVEFEST2014D~
I stamp right now in my dining room and it always looks amess. We never eat in the dining room so I have taken it over as my scrap card making room.
It is right off of my kitchen so you always can see the mess in there...ugh! My dh brought up my buffet table from downstairs and I put it against the wall and started to organize and this is as far as I got. I use white, black, red and browns CS mostly so I have put them in magazine holders so I can get to them quickly. I bought some office supplies holders from walmarts and a little lazy susan from marshalls that holds glitter glue, colorbox chalks, cleaners and etc. The big jar holding all the buttons I received the best cashews in there from my neighbor for christmas~ As you can see I have along way to go and could really use someones help and expertise~
If I showed you the rest of the room I would be embarassed...not happening...ugh! Its very depressing looking at the mess and wish I could snap my fingers and it was all organized. Does anyone know of any scrapbook makeovers contest that I can enter to win? Or any takers on giving me some help?

Everything looks very neat and organized to me, Sue. I wish I had a 40 x 40 craft room. And, I would probably still run out of space. Ha I bet there are plenty of ideas people are showing with this challenge.

I like what you've done so far....I'm the same way; very far from done, but the parts I have organized spur me on to keep going because those things are so much easier to use and put away!

I can completely relate to your dilemma. I too stamp right near the dining room in a place thats visible to anyone who comes to our home. What I did was to find a place to store all of my paper and supplies. In my case we built shelving under the stairs and decided to just leave out the things that I use in almost all projectsthe basics, scissors, glue, cutting board, mat, my primary inks (not my entire collection), my go-to pens, stamp cleaner, etc. My storage area under the stairs is like a library and I check out things that I need for each project then return them when Im done. I keep a bin for things that need to be filed away. We also purchased an inexpensive collapsible table from Costco that I can set up for big projects and put away when not needed. In any case it looks like your space is just beautiful!! Thanks for sharing your story!

You already know you use what is OUT handy and visible! No matter how hard you try, its impossible to keep your stamping space clean and organized! (Unless its just for SHOW and you don't actually USE it!) The more you buy, the more storage you need!
All that being said, I have bookcases, those plastic rolling carts, literature storage shelves for all my 8 1/2x11 CS, SUs ink caddy x2 and SUs stack and store caddy x2, 12x12 plastic containers from Michaels/Hobby Lobby for all my 12x12 DSP and CS, plastic containers from Walmart for my sponges, markers are in cylinder glass vases from Walmart, and finally my desk is butcher block suspended between 2 2 drawer filing cabinets. Hope something on here helps you with your storage issues, but I can tell you it never stops being a problem! But what a great problem to have...too many stamps and supplies, right?!

for a cup of coffee I'll be there to help you in a heartbeat! You've seen my space--in the basement. I envie you for having your space "upstairs". You get a lot more done than I ever could. Hopefully soon I'll be inspired to start creating again!
p.s. I know it's only neat for the photo!!hahaha
