We had a fantastic story of Willamena Wokka and the Chocolate Cat for this week's teaparty inspiration. We were asked to bring chocolate of all sorts, but no cats or it would be the back door!
This week our cards are going to Carol (Gingerbeary 's mother, Rita. When I was reading Carol's note about her mother, I loved the part where Carol told of her mother and grandmother's love of crafting and how they would teach other ladies how to do the crafts during meetings at their home.
So I ended up making a quilt card for Carol's mom. I am now sure if they did quilting with their crafts, but I hope this will work. The other thing, I finished this last night and was waiting to take the photo today. But I had a rough night and didn't even take the photo until around 4 pm and so the colors are off. The card base is a white. The quilt is paper pieced and that is a little lady bug in the corner.

How bright and beautiful, I would totally love a quilt like this. Those flowers in coordinating colors are pretty and the fun little butterflies and lady bug are such sweet little touches too.

Oh my gosh, Kathleen, I thought that was a stamp and even went looking to see which one it was! I love how you did the stitching on it. Now this is clever! This is awesome!

Oh wow, your beautiful card and story reminds me of that wonderful movie almost 20 years ago, How to Make the Great American Quilt. Just like Nancy, I looked to see what brand the stamp was, wow you made this yourself!!! Kathleen this is terrific, your faux stitching is incredible.
I hope you and DH get better very soon. I don"t like it when you are sick!!
