On the last Tuesday of each month the teapotters tickle each other with a card and some goodies! In January I was tickled by Mary aka Octoberbabe. She sent me an envelope full of different die cuts!
While looking through it today I thought that two of the larger yellow flowers she sent would make awesome sunflowers. She cut the centers in this adorable brown polka-a-dot and as soon as I saw this I knew I had brown checkered dp which I thought would compliment the flowers well.
To make my sunflowers, I sponged calypso coral around the center and then added tiny streaks of close to cocoa. I used a paint brush to roll each petal to give it a little extra depth. The centers were added with a 1/2" pop dot. I stamped the stems and leaves on scrap white, added my frame and sentiment and then used additional pop dots to place the sunflowers. Mounted on a close to cocoa base. TFL

I love your treatment of the sunflowers! What wonderful color and dimension you added to them. The brown gingham and dotted paper in the centers caught my eye right away! Love it!
