The teaparty is heading to my friend Sharon's house in Surprise, AZ. She's just had another surgery & has had some complications, but is finally on the up hill side & feeling better.
I was inspired by the 2nd stanza of How Great Thou Art & the words of mountains, birds & trees. I had my brayer out & went to Michelle Zindorfs' blog to find even more inspiration. I shamelessly cased Spring Mountain, making a few changes. In place of her blocks I punched a bird & sponged the under belly. I used Itty-bitty backgrounds for the bottom instead of spritzing on color. My mountain 'snow' is white acrylic paint. Thank you Michelle for your wonderful tutorial.
I hope you will join me in sending Sharon some encouraging get well wishes. I know she will appreciate them so much.
Thanks for stopping by.
Edit: I tweaked this just a bit - added the sentiment & added some more color between the trees.

Karen, this is a stunning mountain scene ......a true mountain splendor! It doesn't matter that you CASEd this card, it's still your work. Your edition is more hopeful and less dark than Michelle's. Your brayering is flawless.

Your gorgeous snow-capped mountain inspired me to give that a try. My mountains are a sad second to this beauty, Karen! Your trees are gorgeous as well as you itty bitty foreground! (That is still one of my favorite stamps!)
I pray this flood of cards will lift Sharon's spirit and fill her heart with hope.

Nice card, Karen. Thx for the details of how you brayered and completed your mountain scene. I have every one of my SU Itty-Bitty stamps. Those little backgrounders come in handy quite often and this one looks good on your card. Thx for giving us the opportunity to bring some encouragement and happies to Sharon.
