I made this card as a Valentine for my Dear Mother-In-Love. It just went out in the mail to her, can't wait for her to open it!
This card had SO many steps and layers. I gave it a 4 on the scale, not because it was difficult but because it was so "fiddly" to do!!!!
The potted love tree was made by die cutting the Taylored Expressions Love Tree and coloring it with copics before separating the die cut from the background discard paper. Each of the hearts was brushed lightly with Wink of Stella brush tip glitter marker (clear) and it gave them a subtle shimmer that looked awesome IRL.
The dry embossed stitched border was achieved by cutting off the outside edges of a Cuttlebug Pinking Stitch Frame ef. This was one of those fiddly steps!
The pot was made by using the SU petite pennant punch. The triangle was colored with copics (I tried making a plaid design with only limited success), then cut at top and bottom & reassembled to look like a pot. I used dimensionals to make the rim look more realistic.
Finished it off with a banner tag, a heart salvaged from the leftover tree die cut and a wee bow made using sewing thread.
Thanks to taking the time to look at my DMIL's Valentine. Happy V-Day to you and yours!

Love this! Such a sweet potted plant, I really like the embossed frame and what a creative way to use the ef!
