It is snowing like crazy in South Alabama - we only get snow once every few years and it usually melts when it hits the ground - but today we have enough snow for a snowman. I may venture out and make one later.
Since we are closed at work, I had time to join the teaparty. I decided to play in this teaparty but also in last week's party as well. I didn't have a lighthouse stamp because I sent mine to the lighthouse freak (you know who you are) and the only sea/beach image I could find was this anchor image. Since this is a sympathy card for a sweet family who just lost their sweet daughter, I tried to cross nautical and girly. I am not sure how the flowers work on this - I put them on and took them off a bunch of times and finally decided they kind of look like sea foam and kept them.
Hey everyone - I missed you all! Is Curt here? Where are the sugar free cookies?
Hugz!

Hiya Nancy - it looks as if we benefit from your bad weather!
I think this works beautifully - the anchor and verse make a strong statement for a sympathy card, and the embossed background works so well with the soft flowers. I definitely like them! This reminds me of when we went to an exhibition of marine-influenced fashion, uniforms and costumes one time in Paris. The flowers definitely would fit in on some of the dresses we saw!

Very pretty! I like the roses and they DO kinda look like sea foam. Love the verse with the anchor...it's related, in some way, to a lighthouse heehee!

Your card is really lovely! I, too, like the flowers and think they work beautifully with this card. Because the anchor is very pale, it doesn't overpower the sweetness of the card. Nicely done!

Well, Nancy, I for one LOVE your flowers!!! I think they go so perfectly with your embossed background! I am so happy you are thinking of the family from last week's teaparty. I imagine it will add another bit of sunshine as you extend the teaparty Beautiful verse, reminding us to hope! Gorgeous card!
(We have some snow, but not enough for a snowman) Hope you are staying warm too!
