For the base layer, I created a piece of wrinkle free distress with 3 greens, then stamped the IO Map on it in Sepia, and sponged on some blues and tea dye.
Pelican stamped on watercolour paper, coloured and cut out.
Sentiment - paper treated with wrinkle free distress using antique linen, pumice stone and old paper. I stamped the compass from Open Sea in stamped-off Versafine Smokey Grey, cut and distressed the edges, crumpled it up and added more distressing with inks.
Image: stamped on Bristol Board with Versafine Black and masked. I sponged the sky in with distress inks (squeezed lemonade, wild honey, worn lipstick, dusty concord, stormy sky, and more blue for the sea). Lighthouse coloured with pencils, clouds added with gesso. It's layered onto a piece of white card sponged with Walnut Stain and distressed. Edges stitched with brown thread and sponged/

Sabrina, this card is gorgeous! All Your sponging and wrinkle free distress paid off. I love the old world effect of the background and the stitching along the edges. The focal image is gorgeous in it's colouring and the pelican is an inspired touch!

Sabrina, your colors are gorgeous! Your scene totally draws me in!!! Love sponging and blending of colors, so seamlessly! Love the way the sentiment looks like it was a treasure map or note in a bottle! Your pelican looks so cool too! I love every inch, this is a favorite, for sure!!!!
