This card was inspired by a vintage Valentine card that belonged to my grandmother dated 1908. Yes, I took the card apart and copied it....Valentine cards back then were sooooo different. The original was a pop up as well, basically the image and little else, the signature and date were on the back. I have several postcards and some other Valentine's cards that were hers from that time period. I always get a little nostalgic when I get them out. While they are in fair condition, they are not in excellent condition and hold mostly sentimental value to me.....so I like that I can make copies and use them in cards I make.

That is so awesome that you took your vintage card, copied and made this wonderful Valentine's Day card! Love the background die cut and that it is a pop up card! Very creative and so lovely!!!

How precious this is, Sherry!! You did a wonderful job of making it "brand new" and every bit as gorgeous as I am sure the original was, way back when. What a terrific treasure that you have some of your grandmother's things that you can re-create like this!! Loving your old fashioned Valentine!! You ROCK, Sistah!! Hugs!
