I based my CASE on Flower Gift my Miss Minx! I traced the cake stamp from Love & Laughter by SU! and used the sentiment from the same set, stamped in VM and embossed with silver detail EP. I used the SU! flower from Itty Bitty Punch Pack and alternated SU! silver glimmer paper and a white glitter paper for the flowers, with some Liquid Applique added between and heated til' 'poofy'. Lord, I could not possibly love a word more than 'poofy'. But, back to my homage to the Minx! The flowers were attached using glue dots. In the future, use the applique BEFORE glue dots. Trust me on this one! I used SU! Blushing Bride and propped the backing piece with mounting tape.
Note: I originally wrote "I mounted the Blushing Bride with Scotch"...you know it HAS to be bad if MY ADHD rear-end catches something that simply doesn't sound right!
ANYWAY...props to Miss. Minx! She's got a total grasp on this CAS style...it makes me want to have a nervous breakdown and take what my grandmother referred to as 'a nerve pill'. I changed the design and colors and I want to say I changed the punch but I'm not sure...EK Success makes punches for SU! and I can't tell 100% if SU!'s Itty Bitty Punch Pack flower is the same but even if it is, I think I satisfied the change two things.
I DO want to ask our Honoree as well as the rest of y'all your opinion on something. Do you think the mounted piece behind the cake should've been dry embossed or stamped with a light design in the same color? This is why CAS is hard for me...I never know when to stop and was wondering what y'all thought about it. I can use all the help I can get!! Congrats Miss. Minx! You earned and deserve every BIT of the accolades you're getting! MWAAAH!

Your card is super pretty - love the pink! I can't do CAS very well so I would be no help on the advice. I am not too good with links either - I just copy them from the search box and paste them in - I am too lazy to look up the cool way to do it but there are some tutorials and descriptions here:

Well, for someone who's not comfortable with CAS, you've created a real CAS beauty with the soft pink and sparkly cake!
I like it just the way it is and wouldn't change a thing, even for bg embossing.
It works if you copy and paste from the search line at the top on the card which you have chosen to CASE.
You can also do this:
[*url=copy and paste from the search line here]Type in the words for your hyperlink such as: Cary's Card[/url*]
Leaving no spaces between anything and leaving out the asteriks I've placed at the beginning and end - if I didn't do that, it ends up creating a failed link!
I will do it here with what you've pasted in your description: Cary's Card
Does that make sense? If not, try the link that Nancy's suggested with instructions or let us know!

Although I have a mouth that'll make a sailor blush (not proud, but if you're going to do something, be the best at it, I suppose) I try, try TRY to be as careful as possible on Sunday. Hey...it's a start, people!! Anyway...I'm still not able to link and even my computer literate husband is stumped. Could you give me the 'formula' (that URL thingie on the front and end so I can cut and paste the header from the card I'm casing instead of my wanting to get all fancy with writing a title or some other nonsense I've wanted to write but should know better because I'm a complete idiot when it comes to computers)? If not, I may TOTALLY be putting myself in danger...I've yet to prove that one can curse oneself into bursting into flames, but it may be lack of motivational material and I certainly don't want my inability to hyperlink to prove to be said material. ;) TY so much!!!

You are so funny! The cake background looks great as is. Any time you feel like taking one of your Grandmother's "nerve pills", say poofy, poofy, poofy, instead!

Okay! YOU are too funny!! I LOL'd out loud all the way through your card comments and your adventures in copying and pasting links! I hope that's ok? Because you just filled my Sunday with sunshine and laughter ~ Thank You :0)
And here's a Fun Fact that you might find interesting: When I chose my SCS name, our cat had recently died and my baby DD wanted me to pick my name in honor of our cat, whose name was Minx, so I chose Miss Minx, because we missed our cat. However, my DH has since pointed out that if you Google Miss Minx, you are directed to a stripper named Miss Minx! YIKES! I had no stripper ideas in mind when I chose Miss Minx
I LOVE your card just like it is! It does look like the same flower punch but I don't have SU's so I can't be sure. Clever You to use the cake! I really like the blushing bride with the silver and white glitters. Such a pretty card...with lots of 'poof.' :0)

MISS MINX!! First things first...BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA on google and your 'namesake'. At least you got a stripper! Salome goes to the girl who had John the Baptist's head cut off. Sigh. I have this bad feeling that on Judgement Day, I'm going to be like the person in line who writes a check...I'm sure it's going to take a little longer than usual for God to 'have a talk' with me.
I'm so thrilled you liked it! Like I said...you earned it AND you deserve every bit of it!
As to laughter...for the love of God...I would like nothing more!
<shameless self-promotion ahead>
Please be sure to visit my blog for more laughter! At least, I HOPE you laugh. Or chuckle. Or do that thing where your mouth ends turn up a little...unless you're like me and desperately need more restalyn injections to stop the downward slope...uh-oh...forgot what I was talking about. Time for the Adderall!! MWAAAAH!
