Yeah. some days there's no knot at the end of the rope. Thankfully today is not one. I was inspired to make this at first glance when I saw this picture.
Not by the picture on the pen, but by the picture - in all its simplicity - OF the pen. The pen nib and inkspot are both RAKs from my neighbor and I have been waiting for a chance to use them. It came today.

Your ink blot made me smile, Carol. Brings back memories of 5th grade when my teacher made us use dip pens and ink bottles...what a mess! You would almost be done with an assignment.....then blat...a big ol' ink blot and have to start over. You'd think I was born in "Little House on the Prairie" days....no, my teacher was just old-fashioned! : ) I love your card, your humor....and your lovely sense of composition.

When I first saw this, I went 'Oh I love this' and wouldn't you know it, it was yours! LOL Carol your work is so original and pretty. What does the inside say?

This is terrific, Carol! I love it! The text, ink blot and wonderful nib are all fabulous. Makes me think of all that calligraphy I practiced, lol. I'm laughing because I had an elementary teacher who graded us on handwriting and mine is so quirky that I never rec'd good grades from her.
