This card was made for today's Inspiration Challenge. I used the first thumpnail for my inspirations. My original plan was to make two deer, but this die is very detailed around the feet and horns and it was hard to cut out of the lightweight chip board I was using. I also thought I'd play yesterday's Free for All challenge to use foil. I was hoping to fit this into the Mixability challenge as well, but just really needed that layered edge on the card to finish this off, so therefore did not qualify for the only one layer card. I covered cardstock with foil and ran it through the branches EF. I sponged on Stazon Azure ink and after that dried I added the brown ink to the branches. I layered this onto another piece of foil. The deer was cut from two layers of chipboard that I inked with white craft ink and then painted with white shimmer paint and finally added glitter. The snow underneath the deer was done with Perfect FX Essence of Pearl, that I bought about 20 years ago and have been hoarding. I used a blue base layer and embossed that with a snowflake embossing folder. Lastly I used my new Merry Thinlet die too cut out a layer of chipboard and then a layer of glimmer paper. My blue base was adhered to a white card, and then I glittered the edge. The sparkle and shine and texture on this are wonderful, but I don't know how well it hows up in the scan.
EDIT: I added a snowflake to the scene.
What do you think?

Your description/tutorial of your process is excellent, Kathy...thank you for that. I love the end product, but the most fascinating part of this is your foil BG. Very creative and well worth all of the work...it plays so beautifully off of your gorgeous deer. I hope to CASE that part...very cool. Wonderful card.
