This is my card for the HYCCT1321 challenge The King of Rock n Roll - to be inspired in some way by Elvis and turn it into a card. My card was inspired by his blinged out costumes and the song "Blue Christmas".
I cut a base layer of shimmer white cs and topped with a piece of matching cs embossed with a snowflake ef and die cut with SB A2 Polka Dots. This was adhered to a matching craft foam layer and attached to a silver glitter card base by David Tutera.
For the snowflakes, I covered a piece of cs with Scor-tape, covered it with the embossing powder and heated with my heat tool. I cut them out using ECD Snowflakes dies. For added dimension I adhered two pieces of shimmer blue cs together with my Xyron, cut the snowflakes, and glued them to the embossed snowflakes with two-way glue so I would have some time for adjustment. I attached them to the card with spray adhesive. The tiny stars are pieces from an MS edge punch and adhered with micro glue dots.
The picture isn't wonderful because the card is pure shimmer and sparkle, but it looks pretty cool IRL.
As always, Thanks for looking!
