It feels like a little while since I've had time to play along with the ODBD challenges, missing out on a leafy one :-(. But the current challenge Create Your Own Background is something I love to do, so I carved out a little time to ink up a stamp I bought just recently.
I used Wrinkle Free Distress on a piece of white card, and then stamped the words of the hymn in Versafine Sepia, and the sentiment in black. The edges were stitched, then sponged and distressed. I added the foliage and bird, and it needed something to balance the bottom out. In the end I went for two embossing border folders, sponging them with Forest Moss. I added some Liquid Pearls and Stickles to the foliage, pearls in the flowers of the upper border and white gel pen dots along the lower border, and then I was much happier with this.

LOVE THIS!! Very clever and very beautiful! Love your pairing of that marvelous hymn (stamp) and the die cut and sentiment, along with the distressing, stitching, pearls and strategic embossing! Thanks for joining us for the Our Daily Bread Designs Challenge this week! Blessings!

Oh, Sabrina, what a beautiful background using the hymn background! And the bird and branches are wonderful...with the stitching as a wonderful finishing touch! So glad you've joined us this week for the ODBD challenge! Hugs, Cheryl

That background is fantastic and one of my favorite techniques! I love that you stamped the music in sepia allowing your sentiment to show up so well. Also love the embossed border which you used in such a unique way! Beautifully done!
