Just got my window dies (thanks, JustRite!) and so of course I immediately wanted to play with my new toys. For the Just Rite Challenge to make Easel cards, I changed the top to a window shape. Then I knew I wanted some vellum for the window and I used the roses stamp in the Vintage Filigree Fancies set to make my rose "bush" in the window with the help of my stamp-a-ma-jig. I sponged some green to fill in the white spaces of the rose bush and some blue for the sky. The vellum took off the pressure of making it just perfect - heehee. For the HYCCT challenge to make a card to cheer someone up, I chose the sentiment from Grateful Heart. My ribbon roses were a pale pink so I used my spectrum noir marker to color both the ribbon roses and seam binding to match the color of the roses in the background of the window. I popped up my label to support my easel window.

What a really beautiful easel card - a great way to showcase the window die. I had to delete the ODBD email with their windows on sale because although I'd love one, I just couldn't afford it this week :-(.
