This is another card for the HYCCT12 challenge The Colors of October - make a card featuring pink, green, & yellow with a touch of something shimmery or opal looking.
The mention of opals brought Shimmer Sheets to mind. I cut the Anemone layers, leaves, and a small circle with the help of a thin metal shim to get a clean cut. I embossed the flowers and leaves with a vine ef (Darice??) and the circle with CB Swiss Dots. After sanding them I sponged the flowers with Picked Raspberry Distress ink and colored the leaves and flower center with alcohol inks. I formed the flower layers by curling them around the handle of my paper piercer and assembled the bloom with foam tape between the layers. The leaves were glued to the back with Crafter's Pick adhesive, which I also used to attach the flower and the bow to the card.
As always, thanks for looking!

Wow. And then Wow again! Jody, this is stunning!! And you've reminded me that I have some shimmery pink paper. Maybe I should try to make another less CAS card for Patty's challenge next week when I might have time to be less minimalist.
The flower is fantastic already - against the black background it is amazing. It reminds of someone here who used to do botanical illustrations on black backgrounds.

Love your pretty pink shimmery blossom that just pops from that great textured dark background.
