I have to admit right here and now that I've seen the HYCCT keywords, but never have had time to check it out. The past almost two years have been devoted to taking care of my sister who had 3 back surgeries. And, believe it or not, yesterday I finally checked it out and decided to try to make as many cards as I could for this year's HYCCT challenges!!
I chose HYCCT1306, the colors of cancer, because I lost my brother and a very special aunt to colon cancer. Blue is the color for colon cancer...this is a very light blue. I am a huge advocate for cancer screening...so very easy; nothing to it except the prep...but so worth having done! Have you had one?
I shall be making more HYCCT cards in the next couple weeks trying to catch up and I will be doing them from now on! Let's help cheer up someone at MD Anderson Cancer Hospital!

Gorgeous card Vicky, so glad you could make it this year to HYCCT... Sounds like you've had your hands full, Hugs my dear... and the answer to your question would be yes, I've had two thank you... My Grandfather also died from colon cancer.. I am so sorry for your loss....

Very, very lovely card. The tiny roses are wonderful. My deepest condolences to you, Vicky, for your losses. I just lost my mother to colon cancer, too, several months ago. I tried for years to convince her to go in for colon cancer screenings, especially since her mother died of colon cancer. She refused to go, and now she is gone much too soon.

Love these beautiful frilly layers with your yellow roses used to honor your brother and aunt, Vicky. I, too, lost an aunt to colon cancer and yes, I have been screened.

So glad you've got time to jump in here, Vicky. Your card is gorgeous! My dad died of color cancer at age 41, so I appreciate your card very much. Your little yellow roses add a nice touch of color to this beautiful pale blue card. Hope to see you again in the HYCCT gallery real soon!
