Lori asked us to make a card with one or more leaves so cancer patients who couldn't get outside could have a beautiful view of nature. I chose one leaf and a flower.
I also tried the technique used by Dini and Misstreez to color my image using only one pencil. I like how the white pencil looks on Misstreez' card, but I guess I don't get it, because mine doesn't look anywhere as nice as hers. :-(
Well, I kind of like how the large blossom looks and decided I'd use the image anyway. So I wanted to punch a frame around it, but those blinkity blankity punch-around-the page punches mess up all the time, and I ruined the piece of paper. My only remaining option was to fussy cut the entire image! It was not easy to cut around those wispy vine thingies. It did give me an opportunity to use some of that lovely shimmery white paper.

Your coloring is perfection! It is so well done it looks quilted! Love the paper you used for the backdrop too.
Thank you for a good chuckle too in your description! Oh my gosh I laughed out loud since I am the same way. I end up fussy cutting everything and it's not my favorite thing to do-simply because I usually have a mess on the background before I am done!

I hear you about punch-around-the-page, Val! It seems like if you're a sixteenth of an inch off to begin with it just multiplies! But you did a great job fussy cutting ( I hate doing that!). I guess I'm not familiar with the technique you referred to, but I think your image is lovely!
