I don't usually doodle on my cards because I am not sure where to start. Today was a chance to get out of my normality. I picked this simple little cow stamp by MFP. It is a new set called Primitive Farm. I doodled in the white spaces and added dots with white paint to the black areas. The cow didn't have eyes so they were doodled on as well as the eyelashes. I used scalloped scissors on the circle and edges and doodled little dots in the centers of the half circles. 2 things inspired this card. The first thing were the longhorn statues in Plainview, TX. When visiting my grandfather in Lubbock TX, my kids and I drove through Plainview and saw several longhorn statues painted pop art style. That is what I was thinking about when I thought of doodling my cow. The other inspiration was for my title. If you are like me picking a title for the card is harder than making it. Yesterday my sister and I were having a conversation on Facebook about authors who feel the need to describe what their characters are wearing that have no real bearing to the story. We concluded that only if it really needed being pointed out should the authors tell us. A need to know basis. I think a cow wearing daisies and false eyelashes would need to be pointed out.

So sweet and pretty, MariLynn, and a lovely country feel. I can see this cow (or the card!) in pride of place on a lovely old wooden dresser in a country kitchen.
