Thanks, Sabrina, for the wonderful challenge...I had so much fun doodling on the lanterns in the background!!! The background was stamped with Pistachio Pudding, colored with Copics, and then I traced on all the lanterns and flags. After I worked so hard on the first flower lantern trying to trace all the lines just so, I gave up and just started a little freestyle....I felt such freedom...LOL!!! The little Japanese girl was colored with copics and the ribbon finishes it off. I have no idea what Ni Hao means...I hope it's rated PG!!!! TFL!!
Super cute card! i think I "need" those HA stamps.
BTW, ni hao means Hello, but in Chinese not Japanese. :p
Konnichiwa is one way of saying Hello in Japanese. Take care and have a lovely day.

Wow, your doodled lanterns make such a fabulous and fun BG! I was curious and googled the sentiment...it means hi or hello in Chinese. :-)

Way to go with the free-style doodling, Joan! I think that's why I found this technique helped me - I always reckon that if I could draw I wouldn't need such a big stamp budget, but when I have an outline to work with that helps me so much. Your lanterns are so festive looking and your little Japanese girls so pretty. The soft colour scheme is gorgeous.
