Since I took this photo on the very messy (creative?) table paper used to stamp the card, I choose a name to reflect the environment in which I stamp. ;-)
This card uses tone on tone stamping with Crumb Cake ink and cardstock and the alphabet leaf stamp from Wonderfall. Layered on Early Espresso and then Pumpkin Pie cardstock it is the perfect background for the "thankful" sentiment from the new Expressions thinlets die collection. I added some linen thread wrapped around the card for a finishing touch. And I even managed to apply a "watermark" to the photo....are you proud of me?
This card was really easy to do....using a strip of waxed paper between the DSP and the expressions die made all the difference in being able to extract the sentiment from the die after cutting. I used my paper piercing tool (otherwise known as the wicked sharp pokey thing at my house!) and poked it into the tiny pinholes in the back of the die to loosen the paper and then it was really easy to get it to release and pull away from the die. Thanks to whatever ingenious and wise soul here on splitcoast who shared that tip early on...saved me a lot of headaches! I attached the sentiment with the 2 way glue pen, just dabbed it onto the back along the full length of the diecut and it stuck down just fine. Don't miss any of it or that part won't stick.
And now since we are already in "thankful" mode, I'd like to say a word of gratitude to the wonderful moderators who streamlined the photo uploading process....you are WONDERFALL!!!!
