A thank you card for our friends who are hosting us at their cottage this Labour Day weekend. It's been an annual event for the past 7 years and we always have a blast! This is also my take on this week's sketch challenge. I changed it up a bit by putting the sentiment on the top right. T I have had this cute little Crafter's Companion 'Popcorn Bear' stamp for several years, but this is the first time it has seen ink. I started out with a piece of newspaper and covered it with some white acrylic paint and also adding some metallic ice blue acrylic paint. In the top right hand corner I stamped the Paper Inspirations 'Marble Texture' stamp with SU Brocade Blue. The patterned paper for the three tags and the mats were all found in my discard bag. I drew a dock for the bear to sit on with pencil and coloured the image and dock with copics. Lastly, I added some more blue and white paint at the bottom to simulate water.

I'm impressed! This mixed media technique boggles my mind but the results are amazing! Glad this cute little bear finally saw ink. Have a wonderful weekend!
Ina, this is just wonderful! You are such an artist! Your little bear is so cute and you did a great job drawing the dock and the water. The color combo is so pretty and your mixed mediums are so creative! And you began it all with newspaper! Love it!

What a darling card! I'm so glad to see you in the Mix-Ability challenge gallery with this one! I love seeing the text peeking out from the background and the stamped textured. The dock for the bear is such a great idea with the wavy paint for water. Thanks for playing in the A Little Sketchy! Mix-Ability challenge with us!
