My neighbour's mother moved from this area, two years ago at the age of 93. She sold her home and gave up her volunteer positions in the hospital and local elementary school at the time. Things didn't work out for her out west, so she has come back and moved in with her son across the road from me. she is now 95, still drives her own car and her mind is sharp as a whip. She has already reclaimed her volunteer job at the hospital and will go back to the school next week to see if they need her there. This card is to welcome her back here and into the neighbourhood. She loves butterflies, so I made that the focus of the card. I was also inspired by Sharon's card that prominently featured a butterfly. Gentle Thoughts by smadson at Splitcoaststampers Sharon Madson was one of our Queens for the Day for this week and I am pleased to honour my friend with a card. I changed up the card a lot but used the blue colour and also a die cut and butterfly, as she did.

Your die cut is beautiful as is your card.... I especially love your wonderful flowers, they are gorgeous.... The butterfly seems to really be enjoying itself.... Your friend sounds absolutely great, and she will definitely love this... TFS

Wow!!! Your neighbor is an incredible inspiration! 95 and still independent! This is a gorgeous welcome back card! I like the little hanging birdhouse and the pretty die cuts! Lovely!
