I am such an accidental artist! But, what the hey if it comes out good, right!? Well, this card was inspired by the National Geographic site for IC400, this image-*http://national-geographic.cafepress...Framed%20Print.
I had been wanting to try the eggshell mosaic bg for a long time, and finally did. I did a lot of mixing and blending inks to get rock colors, as I didn't want to rely on colors simply muddying. However, I forgot to mist the shells before I applied the inks (happy accident #1) after I realized the inks weren't spreading, so I did it after (and used the blending solution in places)and liked the results. I painted on the copper metallic ink and pearl mixative (happy accident #2, it pitted for some reason in places) in random places. When I painted mod podge over the top, I stippled when it was tacky, to give it more of a pitted, rocky look. Not sure if it worked, but I liked the look. Anyway, this was a lot of fun and surely couldn't do this again the way that I did.
So, this also fulfills the MIX1 and the MIX4 challenges. TFL

Oh wow! I missed reading that challenge but I intend to go back and read it after seeing your fabulous rock wall! Love the scene you created with it. Beautifully done!
