This week we are going to have a teaparty with Elizabeth aka "I Love Rubber" and her sister Debby. Debby has such very serious health issues, but we hope to make her forget even if it is just for one day.
The story this week was full of fun tales about two sisters, Darla and Lizzie. Darla and Lizzie are good friends of Hazy and Lazy and Hazy and Lazy are best buddies with sisters Debby and Elizabeth. So here is my card for Debby and to celebrate National Sisters Day.
I don't have a sister but I do have a sister in law. If I had to go out and hand-pick a wife for my wonderful brother, she is who I would have come home with.
I thought of Elizabeth and Debby the entire time I was making this. I hope they have as much fun looking at it as I had making it.....See you at the teaparty. I will bring the limes for the frozen magarhitta's.
Now about the card. I thought I would try a stair step fold.....are you laughing your head off yet? This is a standard stair step fold, but with 3 sets of steps instead of 1. The window at the back is actually a little free standing 'mountain fold' card to write the note on.
The biycle had a wee crash so I fashioned one of the wheels to look like a wagon wheel leaning against the back fence.
The gorgeous digi images are from Sassy Cheryl. Debby was originally swinging from the tree with a little puppy dog. Sadly I "fussy cut" Fiddo's head off, so I thought it was best to remove him altogether (sorry Deb). In the original digi image of Elizabeth, the heart balloon is on her right side, but I felt it inhibited Deb's swinging from the tree, so I relocated it.
DH thought the wall behind Debby should have been a big tree.......grrrrrr I'd like to see him try and draw a tree LOL, who does he think I am....Mutnik!
Have a wonderful week and thank you for looking.

Oh Susie, how fabulous! I am amazed at how so many of the cards reflect things that actually happened in our lives but weren't mentioned in the teapot challenge. My sister spent her youth hanging upside down from tree branches and with skinned knees from her many dare devil stunts. The matching dresses really made me smile as we went to England every summer on a ship "Empress of Whatever" and my mom would dress us identically (even though we had 3 years between us) The outfits I remember the most were little grey suits with pink piping. You can imagine me having told you what a tomboy she was how much she liked having to wear these outfits.
Thanks so much for making this keepsake for my sister, she will treasure it always.
Cheers, Elizabeth
