I am a little late in posting this, lot's of excitement happening here. More on that later....details of my card.
I wanted to make my metal look a little vintage like. Not sure I achieved that, but I had fun in the process...which was punching out various size circles, layering them in three, put them on my cs then put metal repair tape over top. Did the stylus thing, and added more texture with plaster tape I think it's called. My brain isn't functioning quite right right now.
Then I put a chocolate milk colored acrylic paint over top and rubbed off, put gesso over that and lightly sanded and in the end I put on some distress inks.
Added a rub on "HI!", a stamped and popped up apple and an embellishment. Put is all on a kraft card with some colored cs scraps behind. OH, paper pierce the corners and actually did some hand stitching. Done.
Now for the excitement. My neighbor's daughter came over and said she thought there was a kitten in my backyard because they had heard it crying all day. We looked around, didn't see anything so they left.
Then they returned saying it was in the "top" of our palm tree! I remembered that Dusty had met up with a cat that morning but didn't realize it was a kitten that had scampered up the tree.
So while I was trying to retrieve the kitten with my pool pole and net they called the fire department. Good thing I guess because I had the ladder braced against the tree and was ready to go up it! (not a smart thing to do at my age. hehe) Anyway, before the firemen could even figure out what to do, the little kitten crawled out on one of the leaves and fell.........into the spa! Good thing because we have lot's of cactus back there. Fortunately he was fine, just a little wet.
Well, sorry this is long but I just had to share my excitement for the day.....TFL :0)

This definitely has a retro vibe to it Cathy..I especially like how you added the gesso and sanded. That hand stitching looks cool, too. Glad the kitty is ok..and it's probably a good thing you didn't go up on your ladder
