Hi everyone!
I haven't gotten my fingers inky for a couple of months now, so I had fun creating this quick little ATC for today's MIX24 Mix-ability challenge. MIX24 - Napkin/Tissue Decoupage by true-2-you at Splitcoaststampers
For today's challenge, I'm asking you to use colorful napkins or tissues with some Mod Podge (or other decoupage medium) to create a background or focal point on your project.
If you use napkins, make sure to pull the layers apart and only use the top (printed) layer. Then you simply coat your surface with ModPodge, lay your tissue down letting it wrinkle in some areas to add some interest, then coat the top with Mod Podge as well. Let it dry, then stamp, punch, cut or embellish to your little heart's desire.
This is a fun way to quickly add color and designs to your projects.
All I did to finish off my ATC once I had applied the napkin, is ink the edges and stamp my sentiment using Ranger Ink's Perfect Medium and black embossing powder. The sentiment is from Stampers Anonymous.
I sure hope you will give this technique a try. I think you will love it!
Thanks for taking a closer look!
Hugs,
True
