I really loved the CAS (clean and simple) layout on Speedy TV's Sketch with a Twist for this week. The twist is watercolouring.
After mangling several pieces of watercolouring paper, I found this embossing technique where you heat emboss the image with white embossing powder and then watercolour. Ta-da, no more ink running and blurring the image. Better yet, it gives such a soft image, perfect for a spring card. I tried a notecard today - 3.75*5 inches. I used an image from MFP's Winter Crocus set. I actually stamped it three times. First I did the centre image and then masked it and stamped the image again on the left and right. Watercolouring really softens the colours. I am so going to have to try this technique again. I'm wondering what the effect is if I used black or gold embossing powder. Do you think I'd get a stained glass effect?
