My Masking on One Layer Card for this weeks CAS228 Technique Challenge.
A one layer card is always a challenge for me even for CAS style cards. Thanks Denise for another fun challenge.
I used 2 of my favorite new SU stamp sets: Gifts of Kindness (love the font and main image) and Gorgeous Grunge. Stamping each Gorgeous Grunge stamp twice using 4 of the 5 new 2013-15 In Colors.
A really fun and easy card with only "One" embellishment...the linen thread bow :-)
A tip: I use sponge daubers to ink my stamp images that have detailed images like the polka dots on the flower image. The new SU ink pads are firm sponge pads and very saturated with ink, so they tend to cover up the detailed areas of some stamp image. It is quick and easy and gives great results esp. with silhouette stamps.
Enjoy and Happy Stamping :-)

Oh, I LOVE this! What a wonderful silhouette image and that little piece of twine is just perfect!
Thanks for the tip on the inking, btw! I'll have to try this as I do get frustrated with images at times!!!

This is a great one-layer card! Using the mask to create your white circle against the background really makes it look like more than one layer. Yup, gotta get me that Grunge set.

Great card Nancy. I noticed you're really into circles right now ... Love the background using the four different colors. Thanks for the tip ... I also have trouble with the new saturated ink pads - so much appreciated!

What a fantastic one layer card, love the masking and the stripes, the flower is so striking and what a good idea for inking the solid stamps with the new pads, they are really juicy. TFS
