The TSC for this week was to make a card with a cat or dog; use an oval, rectangle and ribbon. Fast forward to yesterday; a neighbor whom I know slightly had a family emergency and asked if I would watch her 6 year old while she dashed to the hospital. I was right in the middle of planning my card for the challenge but good neighbors don't turn down someone who is in a panic. So me and Sarah who I have never met and vice verse made this card. After I explained the rules, all I had to do was show her how to use some of the tools and off she went. I sat and watched and made a few comments as she worked. She was very quiet but concentrating so that I thought she'd have a headach! Then when she declared she was done, I asked her to explain to me how she met the rules in her card. She explained that the dog was from that rolling machine (that can mash my pinga if I wet it) and the oval was the (dog house doowa) and the reptingle was (what the doggie was saying) and the wibbon is awound his neck! I told her she was fantastic and then she announced that it was her nap time and she would like to lay down. What an easy babysitting job!!! Fun too. Then her Mom came and told her that her Pawpaw went to heaven to be with Mawmaw. I don't think she understood but Sarah's Mom needed a huge. Through such a sad sad tragedy, I think I have found two new friends! RIP Pawpaw.

Sweet Tater, this is proof that you meet the nicest people while stamping! What a wonderful time for you to share with lil Sarah, and a Twisted time too! You started her off right! Her work is precious, and I sure hope her lil pinga does not deter her future card endeavors. You gave her a day to remember! Hugs & prayers for her family.

Amazing what a little one can drum up with a little ingenuity and encouragement from you - sounds like you will have some new friends stopping in - loved hearing how she SAID all the words in her explanation, and how sweet she announced she was ready for her nap.
Sorry to hear the outcome, but will be praying for Pawpaw, and for Sarah and her Mom to get through such a hard time!

So sorry to hear about Pawpaw, but at least he's with Mawmaw now. I'm glad the Lord put you in just the right place to help out and you made new friends. Little Sarah sure did a perfectly wonderful job on the challenge, too! You're a great teacher!!!
