I haven't really jumped on the mixed media bandwagon yet, but I do enjoy ogling all of the amazing things I see, so I thought I'd play around with the "style".
I am not super crazy about this design, but it was fun to play and I will definitely be trying it again.
The image panel started out completely white...I dragged a yellow stamp pad across the piece, then turned it on the side and did it again to create a crosshatch type design. Then I spritzed it with water and let it dry. Next, I took a dark pink ink pad and did the same thing as with the yellow pad. Finally I stamped the images and sentiment. It's a pretty neat technique, but you do have to use colors that can be mixed together nicely. The pink over the yellow turned to red.
Thanks for looking!
