This card is about two years too late. After seeing MariLynn's work in the gallery I noticed she used a technique called smashed flowers. I dug through the TLC archives and found it. What fun I had! Someone here was not too happy about his landscape getting picked at but I was frugal. Thank you Joan for an incredibly fun challenge that I missed.

I have to read this tutorial; I have not heard of the smashed or pounded flower technique, but whatever you did, it turned out beautifully! Your card looks like a little watercolor painting! TFS!

LOVE LOVE LOVE this card! What a delicious color combination. I love the technique you used and will have to check it out. The corner sewing ROCKS. The distressing to frame this beauty is brilliant! Faved and pinned!!!

Nancy - I just used this sentiment on a card and I was thrilled to see it on yours too. Love that smashed or pounded flower technique - I did it years ago and forgot about it - thanks for bringing it back - yours turned out awesome - lovely watercolored look!
