What a fun technique for acrylic backgrounds! I had no experience with painting with a credit card but jumped in with 2 acrylic paint colors. I took diagonal swipes across base with a dark color. Let dry. Then a lighter color in the opposite direction. I used a plastic ribbon bobbin to swipe the ink. It was narrower and had more flexibility than a credit card-I will be on the lookout for a credit card. My coverage of ink was not complete but I intentionally left the white space for interest. The new background had a smooth feel to the surface.
I accented the background with mini stamps using metallic acrylic paint. I multiple stamped the flower in archival black ink and painted with acrylic paint. The dragonfly was stamped, colored and a small amount of stickles was added to the wings and coated with matte medium.
Thanks for the fun challenge!

I love using the metallic paint too! Your background turned out so great! I especially like the lavender with the aqua coming thru!!! Your dragonfly is wonderful! Your silhouetted flowers with just a hint of color are so pretty! Fantastic card!!!
