This card is finally headed off to Karin and her family in hopes that our thoughts and prayers have helped them all. See Karin's story RIGHT HERE
This card probably took me as long as it takes to MAKE A REAL QUILT - LOL - but I hope the end result brightens their day and gives them all a smile.
My card -
cut inchies out of pastel papers, glued them down and then SEWED them on my machine! Added some lacey ribbon around the border, then added a quote from ODBD, along with a die cut of the thread, tape measure, and scissors - cut 3X for dimension, colored it with copics and popped it up on the front. Added an encouraging sentiment and promise of prayers inside, and sent it off to California.
It's been a while since I sewed on a card, and I know I need to get back into doing it - it adds so much! Thanks for looking and have a wonderful weekend!!

Sue, your quilt is just gor-geous!!! What soft and lovely colors - finished off with a fab sentiment and adorable spool- too, too cute. Great with the lace edging - just like the real thing. AND you sewed ALL those squares. Amazing and lovely.

What an absolutely beautiful, peaceful, and hope filled card. The quilted design is fabulous - I love it! You did a lovely job. Nothing good is created quickly I say. I was working all afternoon on a card - of course I'm as slow as molasses in January too. Thank you for sharing this lovely card.
