This is for this week's tea party to bring a little Victorian flavor to the gallery. When I read this I headed straight for my William Morris papers. They are printed on glossy stock, so there is a bit of a glare in the photo that I just couldn't get out, sorry.
Well, as per usual, my card doesnÂ’t look anything like it should in the photograph. Sigh. The lace looks curved and crooked, which it isnÂ’t. The cream flower is heavily misted with the shimmery Tsukineko Champagne All Purpose Ink mixed with Ink Potion #9. So I am just going to let this go, right?!!! Absolutely! Moving on Â…
The bird is part of the paper pattern just next to the largest stickpin, which is handmade. I wove satin ribbon onto lace gifted to me by a most fantabulous friend who I met through SCS. Added pearls and am calling it a card.
I missed the call to include lavender and turquoise, oops. Mayhaps I can incorporate these on my next card as I seem to be on a bit of a lavender kick lately, so itÂ’s a good fit!
Am hoping to make another card for the challenge with less dimension so itÂ’s easier to mail to the destination station this week! Bring on the lavender! Hope you like it and thanks for looking! Pinkies up teapotters!

Emily, what a beautiful card - that paper looks like it should be in an elegant library! Hat pins - what a great idea, not only to keep hats in place but a good deterrent to roving hands!

I didn't know there was Morris paper -- is it actual William Morris designs? I must investigate.
But back to your lovely card -- this really is the essence of Victoriana, with the lace and the roses and the pins. Well done.
