This is the inside of a graduation card for one of our high school cheerleaders. She's a "flyer", so I thought the Elizabeth Craft Designs bird in the school colors of the college she is attending would be appropriate.
I started by brayering a mix of regular and Distress acrylic paints onto cardstock to create the sky. I used torn paper for the grass, and created the signpost from a tongue depressor. It was embossed with a woodgrain ef and sponged with Distress Ink. The clouds were fussy cut from a scrap of patterned paper; the armadillo in his fancy boots was created on my Cricut Imagine. I printed the sentiment on the computer, cut the words apart and added to the card. It was pretty cute, but when I doodled the edges of the words and signpost, and outlined the clouds, it really punched it up a notch!
This card meets the challenges TLC430 - Crazy Stitching, WT429 - Doodle Defined, and MIX17 - use two different mediums with a different finish on your card - one smooth and one rough.
As always, thanks for looking!

This is absolutely delightful, both inside and out. A tongue depressor for the signpost - clever you! That little armadillo with boots on made me smile.
