There is a little story to this. Last year we had 8-10 quail that visited our back yard each day. They nested in some decorative pots - up to 20 eggs. According to my research, they lay eggs over a period of time until they feel they have enough, then nest - though I wonder how Mom can "sit" on 20 eggs! Then Dad patrols regularly, watching for predators. He takes over sitting to give her little breaks. We never saw chicks - we fear the eggs were lost to predators. This year we have only seen a pair a few times.
Anyway, I saw this stamp and had to have it - to make a card for a friend who is no longer physically able to visit us, but routinely asks about the quail.
This simple sketch worked well for a simple note card. The bg DP came from Louise at Wish RAK. The base is cream to match the floral design. The stamp is by Copper Leaf Creations, and flowers by Petaloo.
