This week our cards are headed to Minnesota and a teacher that teaches her classes about kindness towards others, in what she (Barb) calls the Kindness Club. Barb's group of children assemble twice weekly, for discussions on treating others with kindness, and to make cards for others. Sort of like little Teapotters in training!
So this week we honor Barb, for the kindness she teaches and shares.
I've stamped two sizes of apples, and colored them in with my white watercolor pencil. Then I have colored over with Tombow pens and blended. This is what I'm going to call cheating with the whitewash method. I like this method better, as when you do use the Tombow markers, you don't get the saturation point and fuzzing off of the c/s, like you do when you paint the white and use the markers. So IMO, this method is far superior and easier.
I then die cut apples out of red, green yellow and cream c/s, creasing and tying them altogether in the center. Some layers are glued to each other. The sentiment apple is die cut with a fold at the top, and tied to the twine.
We were asked to include a card kit for Barb's class to use in the future. I have 8 kits to send off to Barb. We were also asked to send our apple that we got from Cindy (Mothermark) stating where it is we live, so that Barb's class will have a collection from around the globe.
Now, wouldn't it be cool, if some of Barb's alumni became Teapotters, and carried on the tradition!
Oh yeah, of course it was after I took the photo, but the DH said the apple needed a worm, well I added a worm on the left side of the apple.

What wonderful apples! Funny - hubbies seem to have suggestions after the fact LOL!!!
I agree with your comment - maybe we are encouraging future TeaPotters! Thanks for joining in this tribute.
