Linda (Holstein) gave us a wonderful challenge today, make a card with a window. The gallery is already filling up with fantastic views from inside and outside of windows!
I wanted to try to make a lodge or lakehouse feel for my background. I used the DP you see just behind my card, but the planks were too wide. So I cut them down and edged them with chalk. Then I staggered them just a bit when I adhered them. The window is a Madison Memory Box die cut given to me by our dear Polly Peeps! Thank you Pol, I knew they would come in handy this spring!!! I added vellum to the inside of the window and have a bit of red and black plaid for a causal curtain. The Flowers are the Bella Bouquet die by Memory Box. I used dimensionals behind the shutters and each flower head. Lastly I took some light creamy brown chalk to the stark white window casing.
I LOVE this challenge! It was so tempting to make a card looking out onto a feild. Maybe after my appointment this afternoon, I will make that one
Thank you Linda for hosting! Thank you all for taking a peek!

Every single detail of this is just perfection, Kathleen! I love the wood siding you created and I HAVE to get those shutters to go with my window and flowerbox dies! Those flowers are so sweet and unique, as well. This jumped straight into my faves!
