Since the focus of this class is the roll top box, the 3 1/2" x 5" note cards are all the same simple design. Graphic 45 Secret Garden 8 x 8 and 6 x 6 paper pads are used in this project.
The box is made using white chipboard pieces cut to size, and the corresponding sizes cut from the paper which are attached to the chipboard before assembling the box. It makes it easier to get the inside lined, too.
I scored the lid every 3/8" not only to make it look like a roll top, but so that it would more easily shaped to fit the curved top.
Out of the scrap pieces I fussy cut and layered them around the box even going around the corners of the box. I used wooden beads, painted white, for the legs of the box.
The box and the lid have each two corresponding holes to feed the ribbon through so that it may be tied shut.
I love making tassels, espcially as Graphic 45 ppers seem to cll out for it. Making little chipboard charms, as I call them, from the little stamps of the papers is somthing else I like to do with Graphic 45 papers.
