This is my submission to Simon Says Stamp's Happy Birthday Challenge - using my new favorite stamp. :-) I wanted this to look like the box had been tied up with Baker's twine and someone just untied it.
I stamped the cat & box three times - once on Kraft paper, and twice on white cardstock. I colored the cat with Prismacolor pencils and OMS, did the paws twice so I could pop them up just a bit with a rolled up glue dot.
This was inspired by too many cards to list here, but most especially by the incredible Kristina Werner, who designed the stamp set.

Saw your card listed among the favorites this week - congratulations! You did a wonderful job with both adding dimension by popping up the paws and your colored pencil work is so, so nice. The twine around the box was the cherry on top -- you translated your idea very well indeed!
