Something unusual for me today – I combined three challenges! F4A163 and Mix10 are both being hosted by Jeanne S to make a birthday card with glitter (F4A163) and to make a card with a hand-cut-circles flower and add glitter (Mix10) so these were easy to combine. In fact this was a super easy mixed media challenge this week; thanks Jeanne!!!
Then I looked through QFTD Jan's (heartsong47) wonderful gallery to find a card that would work for a glittery flower. I found this lovely card. I like the script background but left it off my card.
I think my paper flowers are pretty representative of Jan's stamped/colored flowers. I cut some of the petals with a Fiskars pinking scissors, ran the papers through my crimper several times to get them soft enough to scrunch a bit, folded one of the flowers to look more like Jan's half flower, added a few lines with a purple marker. Then I added purple Stickles on the edges, yellow Stickles in the center, and green Stickles on the greenery. Oh, and purple Stickles in the balloons of the sentiment. The dark purple mat is just a frame as I cut out the large rectangle center to use on another card.
There are many other cards in Queen Jan's gallery that I'd love to try to case, so I hope to make at least one more for her this week.
This will go to a friend whose birthday is this Sunday.

Val, this such a pretty card. Love your handcut circle flowers. Not only did you create a beautiful CASE of Jan's beautiful card, but you did a wonderful job combining these challenges.
