This challenge gave me a perfect chance to try it! I need a few birthday cards asap, so I decided to do birthday, just like one of the cards in the tutorial.
The stamps are cobbled together from a number of sources - SU Many Happy Returns, an old SU SAB set that I can't remember the name, and an amuse studio set.
I have to say that this technique is a PITB! The white embossing powder leaves little specs no matter what I do. I cut up my Many Happy Returns set, so it was difficult to line up the sentiments on the bottom right. And with this many steps, one mistakes means I have to toss the entire card and start again. This card is my third attempt, and I messed it up noticeably but gave up trying to be perfect.

Ha! You sound like me - always picking my cards apart. But you did a great job with this, especially putting all those sentiments together. Think about it - have you ever seen anything written on a real chalkboard that looks perfect? Any ep specks would look just like they were part of the smudging, and you did that nicely too. I think I'm going back to my card and smudge it some more. TFS
