I really have lots to be doing around the house today, but I wanted to make at least one card so I've combined 3 challenges: Mixability-newspaper with Gesso, Free For All-eyelets and Queen for the Day to CASE a card from the awesome gallery of DJRants. I chose to CASE this beautiful lighthouse card keeping many of the same elements and basic layout though I've gone with an A2 size rather than a square card. I started by preparing my newspaper with Gesso. I covered a piece of torn newspaper with the Gesso and then tore some more strips and layered them on like you would with paper mache. This gave me the wrinkled, textured bg for my lighthouse. I stamped my lighthouse in Stazon black-I lost a little detail here and there so I took a fine point black marker to fill in those missing parts. I then used my Aqua Pen and watercolor crayons to color my lighthouse. I backed it with black and distressed the edges and did the same for my sentiment which was stamped onto a one layer piece of the newspaper with Gesso. Instead of adding the gems, I added eyelets to the right of the image panel. I used a charm with wrinkled seam binding for an accent. I added a little sponging on the edges of the dp with Soft Suede.

Very pretty and great CASE..I like your crinkly effect of the newspaper and the eyelets give it more of a masculine feel to it. Way to go on all challenges!
