If you read the challenge, it mentions an unhappy cactus waiting for its spring flowers...
I used some red cs for the base, added some sand dp, and ripped a piece of rust cs for the "mountains". I layered those over a slice of this dp I refer to as sunset streaks. I added cactus stickers to complete the picture.
I have been making cards with HoneyPop (honeycomb) paper over the weekend, and a friend suggested that for this challenge, I should do a cactus. So when you open the card...

I love this fantastic desert scene, Shyla! The sky is fantastic as are your cactus and mountains! All these desert cards have me yearning to be in the desert, especially this time of year when it's blooming! Jean will love this desert beauty!

Shyla, I LOVE that dp you refer to as sunset. It really does look like a southwest sunset. Not that I've seen one personally, but in pictures you know Your cacti look so happy and I love the look of the honeycomb cactus in the inside too. I have never used that, but I like the looks of it.
