I made this piece to be a journal cover - finished size is 8x6". Nothing on this piece is hard to do, just let yourself go and play!
Instructions:
Coat Cold Press Watercolor with Gesso and let dry or heat set (I like to coat with Gesso when adding a lot of layers so the paper does not buckle and I have more time to work with the colors)
Base: Apply Silks Acrylic Glaze with a credit card in random patterns (colors Snapdragon, Lime, & Guatemalan) - blending as you go. If they start to dry, add some water. When you have a look you like, heat set so next colors do not blend
All acrylic paints mentioned below are Heavy Body paints. I like Heavy Body paints so I can add texture and they are not as transparent as other acrylic paints. I don't try to stay in the lines of the stencils as I like the look. Using a paint brush, add the following:

i was hoping to find you out here LOVE this creation! i just bought the punchinella stencil too, haven't used it yet. i too love heavy body acryllic paint - it is so creamy and so dreamy to work with. blessings, lela
