Sorry for the washed out picture but this is for this week's teapot challenge and it brings back quite a few memories. I took part in that original challenge back in 2008 and I have sent on the teapot to Sabrina knowing that she will love it as much as I have and as much as Cindy did before that. I also had some bittersweet memories as I created this because I used some of the same little shells that I had used in my card back then and when I searched them out here at home, I was reminded that the little Bait and Tackle/Shell Shop that I got them at was destroyed in October by Sandy (Superstorm or Hurricane - whatever you want to call her). I remembered how I used to go there with my father when I was a little girl and continued to do so with my husband up until last summer. While they would be off talking fish and equipment, I would be searching all the baskets and boxes for the prettiest shells that I could find. It was always hard leaving with just a few choice purchases.
Thanks for the memories Sabrina. And thanks once again to Cindy for getting these traveling teaparties going. Yup, lot's of good memories.

Absolutely awesome! I love the shells...what a special card to have those showcased...your card is so the *teapot*.......I thought it was so fun that you passed the teapot on to your buddy Sabrina and she came up with this fun challenge.
I am sorry you can no longer visit one of your favorite places, but I am so glad you have the memories to fall back on.....
A beautiful card Lorraine.....to one of my favorite teapotters, glad you could play back then and today.

Lorraine, this is just beautiful!! The wreath die looks great on the embossed background, and the little shell flowers look just as perfect for the teapot now as they did way back. This one reminds me more of something you'd see in a Chinese restaurant, those lovely pictures created with shells.
No chance of the bait and tackle shop resurrecting? I suppose if it's been round that long, maybe the owners aren't up to starting again. I remember when we were in Zakynthos we went into a little general store to buy some oilcloth, and with our limited Greek and the owner's equally limited English, he was telling us how he'd been there before the earthquake that destroyed the town, and had got himself up and going again. Thank you for dropping by this week, I really appreciate it - and you.
