It has been a loooong time since I uploaded any of my cards. It seems that the last several months I've just been cranking out the cards and sending them on their way without putting them in my gallery. In too much of a hurry, I guess, and busy with other things. Anyway...here are the details. We walk nearly everyday at the Mall of America and pass by the Maurice's clothing store quite often. I have always liked their awning design in front of the store and have wanted to make a card similar too it. I finally ordered the SU Pool Party ink and paper and made a set of note cards for my friend. I used the SU canvas stamp on the background and the rolled a border on the bottom portion. I then used some punches and die cuts and glued them to the top portion and ran just the top half through the Big Shot with CB swiss dots folder. Then added a scallop piece across the card, then some more punch and die on the bottom portion. Finished it off with a white circle and Pool party scallop circle mounted on 3D mounting tape. Used the SU butterfly die and ran it through the Big Shot with white paper. Then stamped with SU sweet summer and sponged the edges. Glued the body portion of the butterfly to the scallop circle and added a bit of mounting foam under the wings to add dimension. The next step was to use a pearl pen and add "pearls" here and there. Finally, used the SU slot punch on the very edge of the card to make an opening to put ribbon through. I am glad that I was able, after all this time, to put my ideas on paper.....scratch that off the list!

This is so pretty. I like the effect of the layered stamps, and embossing with stamps too. I have GOT to remember your slot punch for when I decide at the end I need a ribbon and did not leave myself a way to put it there.
