This is my card for two challenges, the Technique Lovers Challenge 416 which was to Dry Emboss on dp and then sand it and for the Clean and Simple 207 - Love is in the Air.
Would anyone like to know how many papers I ruined trying to sand on Dry Embossing?? I didn't think so. I got the first card all done and ready to upload and decided to read the directions just one more time. Just in Case, you know. I about flipped when I read that I couldn't use cardstock because I had. So then the learning process started all over again. I now have things correct - and please don't tell me if I don't.
I embossed PAPER from the DCWV Heirloom collection that I got for Christmas. The red, black and white are cardstock as my card was starting to feel like tissue and I needed something to hold it together. True Story. I sanded a lot.
Sentiment is computer generated, and hearts and border and ovals are punched.

I know you took a lot of time to get your card just right, Carol.....but the results were well worth it! It is LOVELY! I like the "time" embossing and sanding. With the darker bg, it almost has the look of lace. Lovely punched edges too.

Love the effect of your dry embossed, sanded background paper. Works so well with your reds. The border scrolling is a nice effect too.
