I combined Jeanne's Embossing Resist challenge with the currentIO challenge to use green.
A2 kraft base.
First layer is IO Greenery inked up with Forest Moss and Crushed Olive, stamped on white card and embossed with clear EP. I sponged the bottom with Chipped Sapphire and Pumice Stone, the centre with Forest Moss and the top with Stormy Sky. Edges sponged with Walnut Stain.
IO bird stamped on watercolour paper. I cut out a mask and lost it, so I used masking fluid to mask the heron off. Then I used Stormy Sky and Forest Moss re-inkers as a watercolour wash. Edges torn, popped up on foam. I added some hemp. I love watching herons on the canal and in the nearby park - and even quite often see one in the city on the way to work.

Oh Sabrina, this is gorgeous! I love the background....it suits the heron image so well. Love the colours and the beautiful way you coloured the heron image. I love looking for the blue heron at our lake too, but sightings are infrequent, and usually when I don't have my camera with me!

This is stunning, Sabrina! The images are wonderful, for starters. Love how you created your background and love the watercolor wash on the heron image. I am intrigued with how you masked the heron. I have found masking fluid to clump so quickly and grunge up a brush. How did you do it??
